And hunger is something we can fix, so it's not the worst end. [ it's not good, but just saying. he's still wearing the glasses, but he reaches up to take them off and offer to her again. ]
All of us on our team have 'em. They were made so we could see through the fog in the Midnight Channel. I started thinking they might be useful here, too.
[ considering he knows the story that tsukasa is currently trying to avoid telling her he really does think this is fine. he doesn't seem to care that she puts them on, and they do probably make things look slightly more clear even without weird fog/shades/etc. ]
As much as I hate giving him credit because it'll go to his head, Teddie knew exactly what we needed. Kinda helps that he was born over in that world though, so he knew how to see already.
[ mmm. ]
Couple of weeks ago when I was exploring with a couple of other guys, we found a monster that was stalking us through the fog. That was part of the reason I brought 'em along again this time.
He lived in my closet for, like, half a year. [ dry. ] We didn't know he could leave, and I don't think it ever occurred to him to try before. He's a Shadow, but he changed.
[ but he nods. ]
It was the only time, but it was the only time I thought to use them. I don't know why I didn't think about it earlier, they worked on our side when the fog started bleeding over, too.
Then we can't even rule out that it is some kind of warning. If they knew we were exploring, maybe that's why they made sure we'd see that, specifically.
It can't hurt. I think it's better for all of us to be sharing what we know to begin with, reluctance or not. [ though... ] Dahut and I were kind of talking about this. How it's a lot of work to go through this for people. I don't want to think that there're people who're reluctant still, but maybe there are. If they didn't anticipate what this place really would be like.
We can't guarantee honesty or sincerity in answers, and not everyone talks to each other. There's no straightforward way to disseminate information unless we get everyone to gather or put up a notice everyone can see.
Dahut was thinking of making a system to mount outside of the manor, but until then word of mouth or even a notice could work. Depends how worth it we think it is. [ a hand comes up to fiddle with some of the tulip petals. ]
Fair point about the honesty though. I would like to think people don't have much of a reason to lie anymore, but... secrets are still secrets.
Exactly as it's named. I imagine it'll make more sense if I see it.
[ the concept make sense. she's just a little ? about the execution. in any case... ]
This place won't let us hide everything, but likewise, it can't show everything. It pulls some things out of us, but if people are on the precipice of failing, are you going to reach out to them?
Yeah, it's pretty straightforward. [ easy enough. ] You could probably ask him for more of an idea.
... you got me there though. It can't show everything, and it's like we'd talked about before. Even if it does show some things, not everyone has to tell the whole story. [ ... but he hums to that. ]
I'll do what I can. Isn't that the best I can do for everybody else?

Tsukasa's passion ended up in hunger. Your glasses are intriguing.

she'll take the glasses and put them on for fun (for another look-see). ]
It's innovative in its own way. They don't stand out and are functional, a hidden in plain view tool. Whoever made them knew what they were doing.
Have you spotted anything outside the theater?

[ it would make sense if yosuke could enter and leave it, but who knows what the rules are for things like this? ]
Was that the only time?

[ it just sounds unpleasant, but she doesn't care enough to press. ]
Now you'll never go without them while we're here. I did hear something from the audience when I wore them earlier.
[ she takes off the glasses and hands them back. ]

But you're right. Now I won't. What'd you end up hearing? [ neatly folds them up to put away, thank you. ]

Maybe they're people who came before us who were supposed to do the same thing and couldn't get their people back.
no subject
I did have that thought, but that would mean that - is what people will become if they keep refusing to be open.

I don't blame anyone for wanting to keep things close to their chest even if it makes things difficult.

You also shy away from asking me questions, Yosuke. [ she doesn't say it like a good or a bad thing. she doesn't mind either way. ]
It is. You don't have to, but it is.
