[ Thinking about what Lucien said about the morgue sits in their mind but it's fine.]
It healed a lot, all things considered.. maybe there's a limit? [ Also confused by it. And doing well to not show how internally panicked they still feel about it. ] Or.. maybe an overtime thing. I'm not really sure how the healing works.
[ Perks up at that. ]
Really?? That's good to hear.. Nothing left out at all?
I guess when you think about it, it's some sort of magic river. It wouldn't surprise me if there's some limitation to it. Even our healing back home will run out if we use enough of our energy.
[ siffrin may not see it, but yosuke is flexing and curling his hand a bit. ]
... the cut on my hand's still there, but it's not that big of a deal. At least I can walk now. [ so maybe there are limits. ]
Similarly, healing craft works best in battle. Outside it, we rely heavily on medicine and healing tonics. Especially since we need to properly cooldown between craft uses.
[ So he agrees, it does make sense when thinking about it? Their head tilts. ]
As long as it isn't too bad. [ Which, he has to trust it isn't, since he can't see for himself. ] If it hurts later, I can try healing it myself so.. let me know?
We can use healing spells outside of battle when we're in the TV world, but we usually keep a ton of medicines and stuff on-hand, too. Or we get 'em from the fox.
[ there's a strange sort of pause though as if he's thinking about something. ]
... I will, sure. It's not bad right now, but maybe it will be as it starts healing on its own. Uh, what's a craft though? Spells where you're from?
[ it's easy to latch onto that topic for a moment, and he is genuinely curious. ]
[ Nods to this, a healing fox is a bit funny.. but sounds cute? A little companion that helps.. though their brow pinches in clear confusion. ]
.."TV"?
[ A nod. Not that Siffrin expects any differently. He's sure most would turn down his offer to help anyway to let him save his energy. Even though he'd rather feel helpful than not. ]
Yeah. Craft is what we refer to our.. overall magic. It's pretty omnipresent. Everyone has one of the three. Or you study and learn all three. But um.. you know the game Rock, Paper, Scissors? It's basically the same kind of system.
[ this fox judges the hell out of him but he allows it because it's a good fox. ]
Is that... "why is there a world inside the TV", or "what's a TV?" [ he can never really tell anymore. and it's true that he would want them to save their energy, there are a few other reasons, too, that he may pass on any healing.
instead... his face lights up in understanding as he kind of works this out. ]
So Rock probably breaks stuff, Scissors for bladework, and Paper for... uh... actually, I have no idea. Or how healing works into those. [ never mind he doesn't work out shit. ] But anybody can learn it then?
More of the latter... but uh. I assume a world in it is not..normal?
[ Just based on the way he tries to clarify.. With multiple worlds and planets, the idea of a "TV" world just seemed Okay. ]
Haha.. not too far off. Scissors craft is more focused on just attacking, whether it's multiple enemies or one enemy multiple times. But it helps with speed, too. Scissor craft is my primary. [ Makes scissors sign. ] Yeah. Doesn't matter your age or where you come from.. everyone has a craft. And it's not strictly just combat, has everyday uses, too.
It's definitely not normal. [ he mutters to himself. ] TVs are usually meant to watch stuff, not crawl around inside and nearly die multiple times.
[ that aside... this all makes sense. people's magic is a little interesting to hear about for someone who has a very specific kind of power that he still isn't always sure how to explain. he mimics the scissors sign without thinking about, though there's a tiny smile when siff says it's for attacking and speed. relatable content. maybe he'd study scissors craft if he were in a world like that, too. ]
... I think that's one of the things that weirded me out most about us being gone like that. We didn't remember what we could do or the kind of power we have, and it was like it didn't exist, even though it sounds like you've had your craft for a while.
Watch stuff... [ Well, the only thing that comes to mind with that is - ] Like theater plays?
[ Minus the.. crawling inside and apparently nearly dying?? Well, if there's a strange world inside something that shouldn't exist.. suppose it having risks Shouldn't be too surprising. But just a bit alarming because.. the risks apparently are with Yosuke, at that.
As Yosuke talks, Siffrin falls quiet, listening. Expression smoothing to something neutral for what's visible, though their brows furrow a little. ]
..Craft is something that's been there for as long as I can remember. It's as normal as just. Breathing. [ So to forget a part of themselves like that... well, it isn't as if he's a stranger to forgetting things but. ] It was as if everything we knew was just completely replaced.
Yeah, like that. Most of the stuff's pre-recorded, but there're live broadcast, too.
[ the midnight channel was technically a live broadcast, but it's not something to explain right now. not when he's latching onto the point that both of them are agreeing upon. ]
Not only replaced, but we had no idea at all for the longest time. I don't even know if we all fully remembered before it all ended either. But... how?
That sounds.. simple enough? Though not sure I understand the difference between it and just watching it live.
[ Well if it's "pre-recorded" then.. if they show is missed, at least you can enjoy the play later? ..Huh.
There's a nod, some relaxation to find Yosuke's thoughts are similarly to their own. A difference from the constant telling that everything was fake and no need to worry about it anymore. ]
Maybe.. it had something to do with the God entity there? Outside the Erasures, we don't really know what else it's capable of.
[ Ah. Convenience.. Siffrin will leave it at that, learn to despise TV this next week instead. ]
Maybe.. a mix of both? [ A combination of this place and the god? Though... ] With what this place pulls.. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just it entirely. A lot of explorations with the locations have been.. a lot.
No kidding. [ maze runs are... bad. ] Have you been exploring with some of the others lately? It feels like the stuff we find out there is getting worse and more personal. Especially when you can't see them half the time.
I can't really remember much about the first but.. the more recent one was definitely weird. I just remember getting.. really angry. I think it was the same for Sylus since we ended up fighting each other because of it.
[ Brings a hand to tug a little at the brim of their hat. Misses it cause blind. Awkward. ] All of my injuries afterward already scarred over.
Where'd you guys explore? Can you remember what you were angry about? [ it doesn't surprise him that the injuries have scarred over, but that makes the healing of this place even crazier. ]
We were gonna bring Tokinaga's back with us, I think, but it felt better not to... if mostly we just disassembled a bunch of stuff for parts to bring back. You could probably ask Dahut for a whole list, he's the only one who can make anything out of all of it.
Mm, Dahut is something like a Researcher so that makes sense.. I don't know what happened with the statues, you'd have to ask them. All I know of is what went on with Sylus and I and even that is a little...
If I see them anytime soon I'll ask. It's probably not a bad idea to get an account of events from everybody since there're plenty of times people get split up while exploring. Look at what happened to you, me and Yuma that first time.
[ he nods. and then he realizes siffrin still can't see him, so. ]
Yeah... I'd like to try and bea s prepared as possible, whatever that might look like now. [ they had zero way to prepare for going to that village, and look at how that all turned out.
but... he sucks in a breath through his teeth, holding it for a few moments as if deciding how to answer. ]
... yes and no. No, because it doesn't offer a lot of answers to the questions I have. But yes because it's sort of nice to hear what else everyone's going through. It makes it a little easier. I don't know if it feels that way for everyone.

... that's a good point. [ he doesn't want to think about the reason they were in the morgue, actually. ] How did that not get healed?
[ hello? he audibly sounds very confused by this. ]
I'm fine, yeah. Good as news. [ he is in fact healed, but now he has even more concerns. ]
