It's cool.

[Yosuke can take whatever time needed, but Ryuji is going to loosen his arms and pull a bit back. He eases one arm around Yosuke's back, then starts leading the way to the manor again.

They can cuddle when they get there.]

Okay, we've really gotta get you some dry clothes. And you should probably rest. [Your SP, man.] I can bring us some, like, ramen or somethin'.

[ he's pretty easy to drag along because he doesn't actually want to stay out here in wet clothes and half-asleep, so he allows this and follows along.

"ramen..." why is that the only thought? food sounds good, that's why. he does try to stand upright so he's not applying more weight to ryuji but he also doesn't pull back.

he's alert enough to lead them back to his room at cat house, but he stops outside of the door and looks at ryuji like he's not sure if he wants to go make food now or come in and wait for yosuke or what. ]

[WHY IS THAT THE ONLY THOUGHT? But mood. Sometimes the only thought has to be ramen.

At the door, he blinks for a long moment at the glance Yosuke gives him, confuse. Then it dawns on him that maybe Yosuke wants some privacy or something.

Right! Haha...]

Oh, uh... I'll go grab the food, and you can change, and then you can eat some before you rest. I'll be back in, like, I dunno, five minutes. Yeah?

Just sit and wait for me if I'm not back yet.

[ he really does just stand here staring at ryuji like a moron, startling a little when ryuji finally speaks before he nods. right. okay. that sounds good. he shoots him a thumbs up to signal that this is fine before opening the door and slipping in to change.

whenever ryuji comes back, he will find that the bed's kind of unmade and there's a grey kitty curled up on a pillow half-asleep. there're a few random items scattered around the room itself, the closet half-open, and there's a guitar leaning against the wall by the bed along with a handful of random papers with what looks like sheet music books from the library.

he'll also find yosuke in different pajama pants and shirtless because he's running a hand over his side where hien bit him, checking to make sure he's in one piece before trying to wriggle into a loose t-shirt. he's not leaving the house, apparently. he does remove yu's watch though to gently set aside so it can dry, which is about when he notices ryuji's back.

slowly waves. sup. ]

[You good, buddy?

Ryuji lets Yosuke go in to change, and he detours back to gather up what he can of something warm and filling--more for Yosuke than himself, despite his unprecedented love for the noodle.

After a bit, he comes back with it ready in his arms. Ramen, drink, then the worry of it maybe not being enough, or the right kind and the resulting panic of loading up on snacks too. He looks idiotic stepping into the room and announcing himself.

And he almost drops all of it when the first thing he sees is topless Yosuke. Look. Memories simply come flooding back momentarily!!! His brain blips, Holy shit, and he quickly looks away, face red. Get it together, dude.]

Uh, yo. M'back. Got some stuff.

[MY GOD. Just gonna try to dodge messing up anything and put this stuff down somewhere for them. It's still so harrowing not having Yosuke to help him fill in the gaps of yapping. Is it weird to miss Yosuke's yapping? Yosuke's voice? Okay, let's not think about that too deeply.]

Got some ramen, some soda, more chips 'n stuff.

regardless, he hears the thoughts and he raises an eyebrow briefly, although he can't help but look very faintly amused. okay. listen. yes, he just got chomped by a friend, and yes he's ready to collapse if he's forced to keep standing and yes things are awkward... but it's still kinda nice to know the guy you made out with thinks you're kinda attractive. he tries to take pride in his appearance in general (thinks about elysium telling him he could use a face mask for his skin), so the payoff's a little nice.

but he's not going to make this more awkward than ryuji's ready for, so the t-shirt settles and he tilts his head a little while his eyes look over the food. the pavlovian response of hearing "chips" and looking faintly flustered is still a thing, as it turns out, but he looks mostly composed despite that. (probably because again, ready to collapse.)

he stares at ryuji silently, but after a few moments of concentration...

"thanks, dude. the nightstand's fine, that's close enough."

which is about the point his knees buckle and he just drops onto the bed. okay. as it turns out using his sp, getting his persona and therefore himself thrashed around like a maraca and also the general shock of losing a chunk of his flesh is a lot all at once. give him a second to pathetically drag himself up onto the bed a little further and curl up to make space for ryuji to sit. ]

[Shut up, shut up, shut up. The strange, almost instinctual feelings at least don't make him fly into an existential panic now. He is aware girls still flood him with idiotic, horny, teenage boy attraction, so... he can deal with the boy attraction too.

And, okay, so what if boys look good? He knew that already because Akira looks good. Dumbass. So what.

The goodies get dumped onto the nightstand carefully, but Yosuke's sudden flop to the bed startles him so bad. Yosuke?! Oh. Jesus Christ. He exhales a pent up breath.]

Dude.

[Don't fucking scare him. He thought you passed out, or something. He drags the nightstand around a bit for them and closer, mainly so Yosuke doesn't have to reach all the way. He flops down on the bed, too.]

Here. Eat something and then take a nap, man.

[ akira does look good, dumbass, how have you been sleeping on the opportunity? this is what yosuke's thinking about but hasn't told ryuji himself since the guy seems to be unsure what he's doing. it's okay. he can think about his situation with yu instead.

that's later though. for now he's shivering a little and grabbing one of the blankets he's got balled up somewhere because he's in dry clothes but water's still cold. he's also grabbing a notebook he's set out, flipping to a new page before scribbling on it. ]

You really think I'll be able to sleep after that, huh.

[ which is maybe the only sign that all of this freaked him the fuck out. nevertheless ryuji joins him on the bed and yosuke pauses for a moment, debating with himself before he decides this is now ryuji's problem. he will grab the ramen in a second, he's shifting so he can burrow himself back into the other boy's side again and faceplant for warmth. even if he's not looking, he does write. ]

Thanks though. I'll grab it in a minute.

It's gonna get cold, dude.

[It's the only half-assed protest he has in him. Yosuke promptly snuggles up into him, and--what's he gonna do really? Maybe he should have waited on the food, let Yosuke sleep first, then hauled some in.

It isn't like he wouldn't go get Yosuke more anyway, so who is he kidding?]

It was a lot of bullshit, but you gotta try. If it ain't me gettin' on your ass, it's gonna be someone else tellin' you the same thing.

[He takes the notebook from Yosuke and puts it on the boy's other side. Then he rolls toward Yosuke, pretty much rotating Yosuke like a grilling hotdog roller until he can just big spoon this idiot. He's slept with the other guys, and if no one thinks they don't all end up in a tangled pile.

The notebook is still in front of Yosuke at least.]

[ there's a noise that is meant to indicate "i know" or "i said in a minute" but he's too busy pushing his face into ryuji's ribs apparently. he doesn't get to stay there though because suddenly he's rotating, a short kind of squeak as they're flipped and he settling here. how the fuck he ended up as the little spoon is a mystery (it's not.) but he tenses for a short bit before he slowly relaxes. he may be bi, but he's still getting used to this.

granted, he hangs off of tsukasa all the time but maybe that's different. nevertheless he has to admit to himself he actually likes this. sometimes you belatedly realize you're an affectionate person and would be content having somebody to cuddle. okay, fine, it's another guy. who cares!! he doesn't pull very far away, but he grabs the notebook to scribble another message despite the fact his eyes are half-open. ]

Sorry for freaking you out, but I had to do something. I knew if he kept going he'd hurt somebody else and it'd be worse for him when he came back to himself.
But also that seriously sucked, what the hell.
Plus the river ALSO seriously sucks...

[Yosuke absolutely will not be conscious to eat this ramen in about ten minutes. And if he doesn't also pass the hell out, he will just sit up and eat both of them before lying down again and then passing out.

He reaches up to hold the edge of the notebook so he can read it as if that somehow helps, then drapes his arm back over Yosuke's side.]

I get it. Stop apologizin'.

[As if he wouldn't have done the same thing if not distracted by Yosuke's very similar flinging into danger.]

Didn't want you to have to do the river again, but you weren't the only one. Like a hundred people had to get in there 'cause of Shadowman and wherever everybody went.

[ it's either this or he falls asleep face first in the ramen. he might get up in a few minutes but this really isn't a compelling argument. it's even worse off when when ryuji drapes an arm back over him and yosuke moves, grabbing said-arm to lock around him more securely. if you're going to do this, do it right. ]

Yeah, no kidding. This last round was really bad.
Won's back at least, and so's Hien. Not entirely sure what Hien's missing, but be nice to Hak, okay?
Losing my voice isn't the worst thing to happen at least. It's just annoying.

[Damn! Okay! He tucks his arm up against Yosuke's chest, feeling hot in the face. He didn't know you wanted to cuddle cuddle, sue him. Also, worse? Worse is Ryuji notching his face a little into the back of Yosuke's neck and shoulder at the hairline, making sure he can still see over to the notebook and what Yosuke is writing.

Not that it necessarily matters since Yosuke's thoughts reverberate to him, too.]

Probably somethin' just as annoying as yours. I'm gonna go see how Hak is doin' later. I'm gonna be nice. I'm never not nice to that guy, even if he bit me and then tried kissin' me for no reason. Guess I should probably check on Shadowman, too. Ain't talked to him in a little while.

[ this is like 50% he's cold and tired and 50% he's pushing ryuji's buttons to see what he does and possibly make him insane. somewhere in there he also is in the middle of trying to come to terms with the idea maybe he would like to be held sometimes, damn. that's weird? that's not a manly response and he has to sort of process that. there are two wolves inside him, the one that objects to being labeled an omega and wants to be a guys guy and the other that could probably use a hug in general half the time.

It's probably not as bad as it was when he went in after eating the keys to the cage. That one was awful for him.

[His face is warm against Yosuke's neck. His thoughts mumble a kind of, Great, now I'm gonna be thinkin' about him bitin' me, too. Thanks a lot! Speaking of, and speaking of a later Ryuji problem...]

[ sorry, this isn't his fault? (it's completely his fault.) things that are not his fault though: the shudder that runs through him when ryuji breathes on the back of his neck, and he curls around his arm a little tighter. he peels an eye open to look at the food on the table, and while he does kind of want it he's also comfortable like this.

he hears the thought bouncing around in his head though and it means he's also now thinking about actually biting him? this is a mess. that's for later, because he does think about what tobari said before he writes on the page again. ]

[ his fingers tap on the back of ryuji's hand twice as if he's telling him to shut up with the apology. like yes, fine, they should maybe talk about this when yosuke can actually talk. on the other hand, this isn't helping given there's a quiet whine when another puff of air ghosts over him. damnit, stop thinking, yosuke.

his brain definitely feels a little sluggish like he's struggling to process what ryuji's saying, eyelids fluttering while he's writing on his page again. ]

[ he didn't think either of them would be mad, but it's a lot to reframe. anyway their ramen is definitely going to get cold unless ryuji decides to eat it soon because yosuke's still writing something else. ]

Why did either of them think the other was mad anyway? They're so stupid. Or Ryuji is just stupid, at least.

He watches Yosuke struggle to write the last little bit of whatever Yosuke had planned to say in the notebook. His laugh is the last quietest little huff on the back of Yosuke's neck which thankfully Yosuke won't have to endure painfully like the others.]

That's what I thought, dude.

[Dumbass. He nudges the notebook out of the way, and then pulls the blanket up over the two of them. Puts his arm back around Yosuke before the guy does end up biting him. Hunkers down as the big spoon. He's awake for a little bit, admittedly, but the warmth and the lulling sound of Yosuke's breathing does a great job of knocking him out too actually.

So, yeah, he does end up staying the entire time. Their ramen gets cold, but fuck it. Ryuji is definitely there whenever Yosuke feels like waking up.]

[ they're both stupid, it's fine. he does not twitch this time when ryuji breathes against his neck since he's officially checked out, but there's a little shiver when the blanket covers both of them and he settles back into ryuji's arm.

usually he doesn't knock out so easily, but figure it's because of the actual injury and residual stress of the day. he comfortably snoozes for a while, unaware of their now sad, cold ramen and keeping a hand around ryuji's arm to hold onto.

it's probably at least an hour or so two when he suddenly jolts awake, eyes immediately snapping open and a harsh inhale like he just woke up from a bad dream. seeing how he's in his room, he relaxes slowly even if he turns his head to look over his shoulder. ryuji. ryujiiiii.

if yosuke jostling both of them didn't wake him up, he'll just poke him in the cheek. ]

[The jolting makes him stir, but it's only to groan under his breath as if he's being forced to get up for school, or something. Drowsily, he turns his face down between Yosuke's shoulders and hides it there.

Noooo, it's warm and comfortable. He doesn't wanna get up.

He stays this way until Yosuke pokes him in the cheek, and he grunts gently. The sleepiest, most gravelly,] Dude... [Oh yeah. He's in Yosuke's room, spooning the guy, and they fell asleep together.

His eyes sort of snap open, even if he still looks pretty sleepy about it. OKAY!! He's awake.] Uh--you okay? [Did you have a bad dream about being yaoi?]

[ shoulda been a dream about yaoi. given that his free hand is pressed against his own side it's probably more likely he had to revisit hien's monster form and the events of earlier.

but he seems to relax when ryuji looks at him like that, and there's a very stray "cute" floating through his thoughts before he opens his mouth to answer. still nothing though, and his eyes go half-lidded in annoyance. right. still no voice.

You can go back to sleep if you want. Our ramen's gross by now anyway.

He sleepily flusters at the thoughts, but luckily gets the opportunity to hide his face in Yosuke again somewhat. Thank you.]

Nah... Need to... get up.

[Looks stupid by yawning gently immediately after saying this. He rubs at one eye before draping the arm back over Yosuke.] Meant to eat the ramen, but fell asleep... Dammit. We can just get some more. [THE RAMEN. He's never sacrificed ramen so terribly before in his life. He's really in purgatory.]

now that he's making this any easier given the way he refuses to sit up. their ramen... abandoned... but they can get some more, food scarcity isn't real when bostco is literally outside. he considers the question, and he still sort of feels sort of wiped, but he doesn't feel like saying that so he nods instead. yeah, sure, he's feeling better. close enough. he sticks his arm out and starts writing again though. ]

[ this probably sounds rude, but he mostly means ryuji's good at holding still and letting yosuke do whatever the hell he thinks he's doing. he seems to realize that a clarification's probably necessary, so he adds on: ]

Kinda thought you'd just shove me off after a while. Aren't you hot?

[Nooooooooo. He gets immediately shy and flustered despite the clarification. There's a bit of a dismissive shrug. He stretches his legs and body out before contorting right back to the relaxed side slump he had previously.]

Nah... Didn't notice 'cause I was asleep. [He doesn't say anything for a long moment.] ...Was kinda nice.

[Yosuke was warm, and he was a little tired, too. Even though he runs hotter as a guy with great metabolism, he didn't notice the heat. Yosuke is welcome, though.]
